CHENGXIAOLIN
Lawyer at Beijing Xinglai Law Firm
A graduate student at China University of Political Science and Law. Previously worked for six years at state-owned holding companies in both local regions and Beijing, rising to the positions of supervisor and manager, where I was responsible for administrative management, legal affairs, and the day-to-day operations of the board office. In April 2019, I joined Lawyer Cheng Xiaolu’s team at Beijing Deheng Law Firm, and have since dedicated nearly six years to full-time legal practice. I specialize in handling civil and commercial disputes; notably, I played a key role in representing a Shandong-based company in a liability dispute with an intermediary agency over harm to corporate interests, helping the Shandong company secure a favorable court ruling. This case was recognized as a standout example by the Xicheng District Lawyers Association of Beijing in 2023.

Civil and commercial disputes
Typical Case
1. A series of criminal and civil cases involving two shareholders of a real estate company in Sixian County, who were vying for control of the company—served as counsel for one of the shareholder parties in the civil case. The civil case, which included disputes over shareholders' right to information and two corporate resolution conflicts, resulted in a favorable judgment that was successfully enforced, providing crucial evidence for the subsequent criminal prosecution.
2. In a series of civil cases involving two shareholders vying for control of a chemical company in Guangxi, I served as the legal representative for one of the shareholders and actively participated in negotiations. I assisted the shareholder by convening and chairing both shareholder meetings and board meetings, employed pre-litigation preservation measures, and skillfully utilized attorney investigation orders to obtain the company’s bank account statements. As a result, we secured favorable outcomes in multiple civil cases, giving our client a strategic advantage in the ongoing negotiations.
3. Represented the real estate company and one of its shareholders in a series of civil disputes arising from equity transfers and debt assignments among shareholders of a Guangxi-based real estate firm. Secured a favorable judgment for the real estate company in a dispute over liability for damages caused by an application for interim property preservation during litigation, and helped the shareholder minimize losses by more than 30 million yuan in a case involving tax liabilities stemming from the equity transfer.
4. A high-tech enterprise in Ningxia was involved in a series of criminal-civil crossover cases triggered by the infringement of its trade secrets. We participated in the criminal prosecution and are serving as legal representatives for the company’s civil case in Ningxia. The criminal complaint has been successfully filed and is currently under court review, while the civil case remains pending trial.
5. Chen, who was involved in the Supreme Court's review and retrial of a civil lending and land equity dispute case between Wuhan-based company and Fu, successfully had the case remanded for a new trial—but proceedings have now been suspended due to suspicions of criminal involvement.
6. In the civil loan dispute between Zhou, Wang, and a Beijing-based company, Zhou served as the company's agent during the second trial and successfully secured a remand for retrial. During the first-instance retrial proceedings, the plaintiff withdrew the lawsuit.
7. In a civil dispute over private lending between Zhong, Tan, a Shanghai-based company, and Pan, Zhong was appointed as the agent. During the civil court proceedings, Zhong discovered criminal activity involving the defendants and subsequently filed charges, securing dual protection for the client.
