On November 15, after a duration of five months, The inaugural Beijing Young Lawyers Criminal Mock Trial Competition has concluded successfully. This competition is organized by the Beijing Lawyers Association, hosted by the Criminal Law Professional Committee, and supported by the lawyers associations of various districts. It is conducted under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Justice Bureau, and represents a high-level, wide-ranging professional skills event for young lawyers.

A total of 271 young lawyers from across the city actively signed up to participate. After several rounds of intense competition, 10 teams and 50 contestants ultimately advanced to the finals. As the captain of Team Two in the three competition zones, lawyer Chen Yujie from Beijing Xinglai Law Firm led her team to stand out and win this competition. The final round revolved around authentic and challenging real-life cases, featuring a total of five high-level confrontations. The competition strictly adhered to courtroom procedures, covering multiple stages such as examination-in-chief, cross-examination, and closing arguments, thereby comprehensively testing the contestants’ professional expertise, advocacy strategies, and ability to respond effectively under pressure. Attorney Chen Yujie demonstrated clear logic and compelling arguments during the competition, fully showcasing Xinglai Lawyers’ professional expertise in the field of criminal defense.
