November 28, The first session of the 2025 themed activities organized by the Young Lawyers’ Working Committee of Beijing Xinglai Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as “Xinglai Youth Committee”) was successfully held. Event With the themes of "Exploring AI Applications and Reflecting on Their Boundaries" and "Learning from Others' Experiences," this event attracted numerous young lawyers from Xinglai to participate. Exploration and Practice of AI-Driven Legal Practice
The first half of the event focused on the application and reflection of AI in legal practice. The three speakers delivered a comprehensive sharing session on the deep integration of “AI + Law” for young lawyers, covering three dimensions: practical techniques, risk warnings, and future outlooks.

In the “Practical Exercise—AI Workflow” module, Consultant Li Zeyu systematically explained the hierarchical approach to using AI, drawing on multiple real-world scenarios. Starting from the cognitive gradient of “basic understanding—core focus—result output,” he shared his specific application techniques in areas such as similar case retrieval, data organization, and assisted document drafting. By demonstrating practical operations of various tools—including Tongyi Qianwen, DouBao, and Kimi—in legal research, speech-to-text conversion, and document generation, he helped the lawyers present at the event quickly master practical methods for boosting their work efficiency.

In the session titled “Cold Thinking and Risk Alerts—The Illusions and Boundaries of AI,” attorney Li Rujia directly addressed the current pain points and boundary issues surrounding AI applications. She combines research, A detailed analysis of the formation background and three common manifestations of AI hallucinations. “Fact illusions, contextual illusions, and logical illusions,” and proposed targeted preventive strategies. Attorney Li emphasized that legal professionals should clearly recognize the limitations of AI; while leveraging these tools to enhance efficiency, they must remain steadfast in their professional prudence and rigorously verify and cross-check AI-generated content.

Attorney Li Kexuan, focusing on the theme “The Future Has Arrived—The AI Empowerment Journey for Young Lawyers,” shared her personal practical experiences and discussed specific applications of AI in scenarios such as legal research and document drafting. She suggested that young lawyers should actively explore integrating AI tools into their daily workflows, but they must be cautious about over-reliance on such tools. Instead, they should continue to cultivate and refine their own professional style and independent thinking skills, ensuring that technology truly serves to enhance their professional values.

From Grading Techniques to Mindsets for Growth
The second half of the event "Learning from Others' Experiences" Session Two lawyers who performed exceptionally well in the first Beijing Young Lawyers Criminal Mock Trial Competition were invited to share their valuable practical experience in criminal defense from different perspectives.

Attorney Zhang Jin, a partner at Beijing Zhoutai Law Firm, systematically outlined the methodology for reviewing case files in major and complex criminal cases under the theme of “Effective and Efficient Techniques for Criminal Case File Review.” She emphasized that criminal case review should follow the core logic of “induction, categorization, organization, and generalization,” and that the review process should be advanced in parallel with preparation for cross-examination. By demonstrating the effective use of visual tools such as timelines, relationship diagrams, and evidence comparison tables, Attorney Zhang vividly illustrated how to transform massive volumes of case files into clear and compelling defense strategies. She also specifically pointed out that young lawyers should focus on cultivating both a holistic mindset and meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining independent thinking within team collaboration, ensuring that each case review becomes a solid foundation for building their professional expertise.

Attorney Chen Yujie from Beijing Xinglai Law Firm shared her insights on the growth of young lawyers, drawing from her own personal journey as a competitor and using three key words: "proactively strive for opportunities, build self-confidence, and stay grounded." As the team leader of the season’s runner-up team and the top defense attorney, Attorney Chen frankly admitted that the enhancement of professional competence stems not only from the accumulation of knowledge but also from the courage to take on new challenges and the rigorous training gained through real-world practice. She encourages young lawyers to boldly seize opportunities, hone their skills under pressure, and build unwavering confidence in their professional abilities through hands-on experience.

During the interactive exchange session of the event, Chairwoman Cheng Xiaolu and Deputy Director Wang Weining, drawing on their own experiences, offered candid advice on the professional development and brand building of young lawyers.

Chairwoman Cheng Xiaolu fully affirmed the value of this event for the growth of young lawyers. At the same time, drawing on her own experience in running a self-media platform, she suggested that in the era of new media, young lawyers should consciously begin building their personal professional brands by consistently producing valuable content, thereby gradually establishing a strong professional image within the industry.

Deputy Director Wang Weining, from the perspective of business development, shared the virtuous cycle between “professional expertise” and “market recognition.” He suggested that young lawyers, leveraging their professional expertise, should choose appropriate platforms and formats to transform their specialized knowledge into content that is easy for the general public to understand. This ongoing “value output” not only helps enhance the industry’s influence but also opens up new avenues for business expansion. He also revealed that in the future, the Xinglai Youth Committee will continue to launch a series of specialized events, providing young lawyers with more platforms for showcasing their talents, exchanging ideas, and fostering personal growth.
