[Party Building Special] The First Party Member Conference and Branch Establishment Meeting of Beijing Xinglai Law Firm

Meeting Topics: General Party Members' Meeting; Founding Conference of the Party Branch; Election of the Party Branch Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Publicity Officer, and Organization Officer to form the First Starla Party Branch Committee.

At 2:00 p.m. on April 28, 2021, all Party members of Xinglai Law Firm held their first Party member meeting. The meeting began with the entire group singing "The Internationale" together.

Comrade Wang Jun presided over the meeting, introduced all the attending party members, and read out the Party Committee's approval document: The Beijing Dongcheng District Lawyers' Industry Committee of the Communist Party of China has approved the establishment of a Party branch within Beijing Xinglai Law Firm. At the meeting, Comrade Wang Jun was elected as the secretary, Comrade Jiang Wenrui as the deputy secretary, Comrade Yu Lin as the publicity officer, and Comrade Wang Weining as the organization officer, thus forming the inaugural Xinglai Law Firm Party Branch Committee. Secretary Wang Jun will now assign specific responsibilities to each committee member.

Secretary Wang Jun introduced the law firm as follows: Beijing Xinglai Law Firm was established on December 3, 2020. Renowned senior lawyers from several top-tier domestic law firms came together in a serene, time-honored courtyard home located in the bustling heart of Beijing, united by a shared vision: "Let a single spark ignite a prairie fire—shaping the future of the rule of law." Guided by the mission to "respond to the demands of the times and push the boundaries of criminal law practice," Xinglai Law Firm is dedicated to delivering clients "professional, meticulous, and comprehensive one-stop legal solutions." The firm currently has 7 full-time lawyers, 1 intern lawyer, and 3 support staff members.

The Xinglai Party branch currently has 5 members. The meeting emphasized that the branch must strengthen its own internal development, firmly uphold the Party's absolute leadership over the legal profession, deeply understand the new stage of development, implement the new development philosophy, and foster a new development pattern. Additionally, it highlighted the importance of fully leveraging the political core role and exemplary leadership of the Party organization within the law firm, continuously cultivating innovative practices as the Party leads the firm’s growth and development.

Comrade Wang Xiaoyan and Comrade Wang Ying, both active candidates for Party membership, attended the meeting and solemnly submitted their applications to join the Party. Based on the applicants' performance, the Party branch unanimously agreed that Comrade Wang Xiaoyan and Comrade Wang Ying stood out particularly and approved their designation as prospective members. The Party branch also decided to appoint Comrade Jiang Wenrui as the mentor and contact person responsible for nurturing and guiding Wang Xiaoyan and Wang Ying, while simultaneously submitting this decision for record with the Party General Branch.

The final meeting thoroughly outlined the next steps for Party-related work following the Party members' congress, and it was decided that one of the topics for the upcoming session would focus on Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law.
