Editor's Note: In the wake of the digital revolution, electronic evidence has emerged as the "king of evidence" in judicial practice, while the deep integration of artificial intelligence is propelling legal operations into a new era of intelligent transformation. To align with the national call for strengthening the convergence of information technology and legal studies, Renmin University of China School of Law is officially launching the fourth session of its Advanced Training Program on Electronic Evidence and Intelligent Case Handling (2025).


This session of the training program is hosted by the School of Law at Renmin University of China, with co-organization from Beijing Xinglai Law Firm. The course brings together leading experts from both theoretical and practical fields, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as electronic evidence rules, big data analytics, blockchain-based evidence preservation, and AI-driven evidence review. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, it empowers legal professionals to master the core skills needed for intelligent case management. Senior lawyer Wang Jun, who has extensive experience in criminal defense, will participate in this training. "Crime Defense Night," With " Methods for Effectively Challenging Expert Opinions and Successful Cases—From the Perspective of Electronic Data As the topic, this presentation will demonstrate—through vivid case studies—how electronic data evidence can be used to challenge and overturn illegitimate expert opinions.

Attorney Wang Jun will use the housing agency data infringement case as a starting point to guide participants in a thorough analysis of key criminal defense strategies.

Facing accusations of crimes involving the infringement of citizens' personal information, how can lawyers meticulously dissect and challenge electronic evidence—unraveling complexities from both procedural and substantive angles to achieve a precise breakthrough? From identifying legal loopholes in the collection of forensic materials to distinguishing between the essential differences in viewing versus downloading logs, and recognizing the critical role of data deduplication—each step holds its own hidden intricacies. Additionally, there’s the strategic interplay between direct defense and peripheral arguments, directly targeting vulnerabilities in the chain of evidence.

Wang Jun, who earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, is the Director, Chair of the Management Committee, and Founding Partner at Beijing Xinglai Law Firm. She also serves as a member of the Criminal Procedure Law Specialized Committee and the Women Lawyers’ Working Committee under the 12th Beijing Lawyers Association. Additionally, she is a contributing author for Peking University Law Information Network, a Senior Research Fellow at the Southern Finance Legal Research Institute, and the Public Welfare Image Ambassador for Anti-Telecom and Internet Fraud Initiatives. She has been selected as a notable figure in her field. LEGALBAND Rising Partner 15 Strong, Chinese female lawyer 15 Strong, GRCD Annual Female Lawyer, Business Law The Visionaries "Insightful Leader," LexisNexis Multiple awards, including the Law Business Research Elite List. Has published numerous professional articles in leading journals such as *People's Procuratorate* and *China Lawyer*, and is affiliated with the International Institute of Information Science Examinations. (EXIN) Data Protection Officer (DPO) & Data Protection Officer under China's Personal Information Protection Law (DPOPIPL) Dual-certified lawyer, SGS Certification ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI Management System Internal Auditor.

Wang Jun has successfully handled numerous criminal cases involving not-guilty defenses, boasting extensive practical experience in handling criminal-civil crossover cases as well as property-related criminal defense matters. She specializes in defending against charges related to official misconduct, economic crimes, and cybercrime—and has particularly developed deep expertise in the examination of electronic data.

Fee Structure

The training fee is 7,980 yuan per person (including instructor fees, materials, certification costs, and other expenses), excluding accommodation, meals, and transportation costs.

Preferential policies:

Alumni of Renmin University of China (School of Law), or three or more individuals from the same organization (including exactly three), who register together will receive a 10% discount (CNY 7,180).

More than 10 people (including 10) from the same organization (or group) who register will receive a 20% discount (CNY 6,380).
