On September 5, the Party branch of Beijing Xinglai Law Firm organized a special study session, bringing together several lawyer party members and enthusiastic members of the public to collectively study Chapters 7, 8, and 9 of "Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Discourses on Strengthening the Party's Conduct." The session was chaired by Wang Weining, Deputy Director of Xinglai Law Firm, with guidance provided by Jiang Wenrui, Deputy Director of the Party branch.

 

Before the formal start of their studies, participants enthusiastically shared their thoughts and reflections after watching the commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Eighty years ago, the Chinese people achieved a monumental victory in the War of Resistance through arduous and extraordinary struggles, making an outstanding contribution to the global triumph over fascism. This historic victory not only highlighted the indomitable spirit and unwavering unity of the Chinese nation but also underscored its profound resilience. By exchanging their perspectives, everyone deeply recognized that, as legal professionals in the new era, they bear the vital responsibility of upholding social fairness and justice while preserving and promoting the patriotic spirit. Participants expressed their determination to draw strength from history, approaching their work with renewed enthusiasm and steadfast conviction, ultimately contributing their part to the realization of the Chinese Dream—the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

 

Following this, the learning session officially moved into an in-depth study of Chapters 7, 8, and 9 of "Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Discourses on Strengthening the Party's Conduct."

 

In Chapter 7, "Persisting in Integrating Style Improvement with Discipline Building and Anti-Corruption Efforts," participants recognized that advancing style reform must go hand in hand with strengthening discipline and intensifying the fight against corruption, creating a unified and powerful synergy.

Chapter 8, "Purifying the Party's Conduct Across the Board and Using Strong Party Ethics to Inspire Positive Social and Civic Values," sparked a lively discussion. Young lawyers attending the meeting emphasized that the Party's conduct not only shapes its own image but also directly influences societal norms. As a leading force in advancing the rule of law, Xinglai Law Firm should set an exemplary standard by delivering professional, impartial, and integrity-driven legal services—thereby spreading positive energy rooted in the rule of law and fostering a social climate characterized by respect for the law, adherence to ethical principles, and a commitment to moral excellence.

 

Chapter 9, "Promoting the Normalization and Long-Term Sustainability of Conduct Building," provides methodological guidance for everyone. Attendees unanimously agreed that improving conduct is by no means a short-term effort—it requires consistent, sustained commitment over the long haul. Xinglai Law Firm will integrate conduct-building into every stage of both Party building and professional practice by refining its learning systems and strengthening daily oversight, ensuring that this initiative becomes a regular, enduring part of our organizational culture.

This learning session not only deepened Starlaw Firm’s understanding of the Party’s principles for building a strong work ethic but also fostered consensus and clarified our direction. Participants expressed that they would seize this opportunity to further refine their professional conduct, enhance their expertise, and leverage the firm’s exemplary work culture to drive its growth—ultimately contributing Starlaw’s unique strength to China’s ongoing rule-of-law initiatives.
