The mountains and seas can be crossed; time holds promise. The year 2025, brimming with breakthroughs and glory, has now come to a close. Against the backdrop of surging industry competition and a volatile market environment, the Xinglai team has set forth on a steadfast journey, guided by the principle of unity, toward its strategic goal of providing “one-stop solutions to complex legal challenges involving criminal, civil, and administrative matters affecting businesses.” To honor our past efforts and empower our future endeavors, the Xinglai team has meticulously planned our third overseas annual conference. From December 31, 2025, to January 5, 2026, Xinglai members—driven by their deep passion—will cross mountains and seas to head to Vietnam, where they’ll embark on an annual celebration that seamlessly blends ambition and joy, amidst the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City and the serene coconut groves and sandy beaches of Mui Ne.
The night falls gently, The StarLai 2025 Annual Gala Dinner kicked off spectacularly on January 1, 2026, at a seaside hotel in Mui Ne. Following the warm and inspiring remarks from the firm’s leaders, an immersive audiovisual feast was about to begin. The legal elites, who usually sit quietly at their desks, transformed into versatile performers, igniting the entire audience with their creativity and passion.
The dance performances were brimming with highlights and evoked deep emotional resonance from everyone involved. Featuring both the creative interpretations of our colleagues and the heartfelt support from family members and branch partners, the group dance “Starry Night” performed by Du Jingyi, An Jingjing, Cheng Xiaolin, Chen Hongji, and Yang Qichen was truly full of ingenuity. At the moment when the lights suddenly dimmed, the glow sticks worn by the dancers seemed to shimmer like twinkling stars; as their movements rose and fell, light and shadow intertwined seamlessly. Playful comedic elements blended perfectly with lively rhythms, instantly igniting the entire audience’s enthusiasm. Wu Jialing’s solo dance “Britney Spears—Toxic” was fiery and exuberant, every movement precisely capturing the song’s sultry vibe and radiating irresistible charm. The performance “Grand Ambitions,” choreographed by Fu Xuehang, Huang Xinran, Ding Wen, and Wang Chenxing, was particularly delightful. Dressed in costumes themed around Chinese wealth gods, the four dancers, adorned in red robes, looked as if fortune itself had descended upon them. Their steps were powerful and majestic yet laced with humor, subtly echoing the hopeful vision of Star’s vigorous growth in 2026 while simultaneously filling the venue with laughter. The Latin dance performance by the daughter of Chairman Cheng added an extra touch of surprise—her tiny figure bursting with remarkable strength, executing spins and hip twists with precision and grace. Each pose showcased her professional poise and charisma, leaving the audience utterly amazed. Yuan Chenli, Executive Director of the Wuhan Branch, and Xiao Tiantian, Advisor of the Hefei Branch (under preparation), also encouraged their branch colleagues to join in the fun. The heartfelt participation of family members, including Wang Ping’s spouse, further strengthened this performance as a warm bond that brought the entire Star family closer together.
The song performances showcased a diverse range of styles: Li Kexuan and Yang Qian’s classic medley, “Billie Jean + Do You Want to Dance,” blended retro rhythms with upbeat tempos, instantly sparking universal resonance among the audience; Fu Xuehang’s “That Summer” was deeply emotional and subtly lyrical, its gentle voice evoking cherished memories of youth; Chen Yujie’s “So You Were Here All Along” offered a long-lasting, healing melody, while Xiao Tiandian’s rendition of “Five Hundred Miles” was ethereal and crystal-clear—each melody left listeners utterly entranced. The heartfelt and moving performance of “At First Sight,” sung by Wang Weining, Wang Jun, Du Jiahong, and Xu Rui, conveyed with genuine voices and straightforward yet powerful lyrics, beautifully captured the profound bond of camaraderie and mutual support shared by the Xinglai colleagues as they stood side by side in their journey together.
The special performances were equally captivating: Li Zeyu’s stand-up comedy act, “The Stories of My ‘Battles’ with AI,” drew on everyday work experiences, packed with hilarious moments that struck a deep chord with the audience, keeping the entire venue in constant laughter. Wang Ping’s lover performed flute pieces—“Whipping the Horse to Rush Off with Grain” was rousing and lively, while “Lark” was crisp and melodious, each note brimming with traditional charm as the sounds of bamboo and silk instruments flowed gracefully. Wang Ying’s Eight Brocades exercise unfolded with graceful composure, each movement balancing strength and softness, adding a touch of tranquility to the lively banquet. The sketch “The Rookie Battle of掼蛋,” starring Gao Zizhi, Shen Xinyu, Yang Qian, and Zhao Yunheng, was filled with clever punchlines and vividly portrayed everyday scenarios, pushing the atmosphere of the event to a thrilling climax. Finally, all the members joined together to sing “Tomorrow Will Be Better.” Their passionate voices echoed across the sea, embodying the united spirit of the Xinglai family and heralding the start of an inspiring journey toward 2026, bringing the performance segment to a perfect close.
During the performance breaks, solemn awards ceremonies and raffles took turns being held.
The recognition ceremony presented multiple awards: Li Kexuan, Chen Yujie, and Huang Xinran were awarded the “Outstanding Lawyer Award”; Li Zeyu and Fu Xuehang received the “Public Service Contribution Award”; Gao Zizhi, Han Meijun, Wu Jialing, and Zhang Bingxu were honored with the “Rising Partner Award”; and Yuan Shunan was presented with the “Outstanding Employee Award.” Each of these honors represents the highest recognition for their hard work and dedication over the past period, and the applause from the audience continued unabated.
The lucky draw segment is full of surprises: From commemorative awards to first-place prizes, red envelopes and generous cash prizes were awarded to various winners. A “rain of red envelopes” poured down simultaneously in WeChat groups, filling every corner with joy. In the end, three special GUCCI scarf awards were won by Jin Hua Zhi, Li Kexuan, and Li Ruyi.
